About Us
Café Lounge is a specialty coffee shop in Carrick-on-Shannon, serving coffee roasted locally by Artessa, our own roastery across town. The connection is simple: we first roasted our coffee inside the café on small roasters, and over time that grew into Artessa, a dedicated roastery. Enjoy espresso, cappuccino, latte, mocha, iced coffees and a rotating single-origin filter coffee on our Poursteady filter machine. Love dropping in to this cafe for a flat white and croissant after kayaking on the Shannon. Excellent coffee roasted locally and I love the new interior design 🙌

The best mocha I've had in years. Made from real high quality chocolate and their own roasted coffee. Very little sweetness, incredibly complex. Perfection.

Never disappoints! I've been coming here for years for my flat white and coffee beans. Consistently good. Love that they always have magazines to read while you sit in. Definitely my go-to spot.

TERRIBLE ICED LATTE! ASKED FOR A SINGLE SHOT OF ESPRESSO HAZELNUT ICED LATTE AND THE BARISTA TRIED TO POISON ME WITH IT!! LITTERALLY UNDRINKABLE. NOT EVEN ANOTHER SHOT COULD SAVE IT. EXTREMELY SWEET. Disgusting. Do not recommend (Edit: I can see that the owner obviously doesn't really understand exaggeration, which is commonly used in both spoken and written language. By "Poison" I obviously did not mean litterally trying to murder me, but rather that it was so sweet that it felt like poison. Get it right, next time. Never planned on returning either way if that wasn't obvious)
